Happy Christmas

Hello from all of us here at Heron primary school. Thank you for your photos and letting us know what our teddy has been doing. We have some rules in England that we have to stick to when we use the Internet in school. One of them is that we cannot put our names beside our photographs. It is a difficult rule because we would like to introduce ourselves in the same way as you have. Unfortunately we are not allowed to.

Thursday is our last day at school before Christmas and we wish you all a Happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New year. If we can we will add a short video in the next day or two.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

This is a short video from our school play. It is a little dark to see. We will make new ones tomorrow when we perform it again.

Teddy Bear and Oksana

Hi, dear friends from England!
My name is Oksana, my surname is Orlova. I am 13 years old. This year I became Mrs. Chernova’s student. I live with my parents and a cat. I love my family and my cat very much. I love sports very much too. I play basketball and volleyball. In winter I love to play snowballs with my friends. I love to celebrate Christmas and New Year. In the picture you can see that we became friends with Ted!
Best wishes from Oksana.

Teddy Bear and Vova

Hello, my friends from Abbeydale!
My name is Vova Kuzmin. The Teddy Bear has visited my family. I live with my parents and my cat. I love my family. My parents were glad to meet Ted. We had a good time all together in the evening! During the day Ted and me went shopping, did my home work, watched TV, played some computer games and read books. This picture is of me and Ted. I’m doing my homework and Ted is helping me! He is very good at English!
We give our regards to all of you.
Vova Kuzmin.

Teddy Bear and Maria

Hi, dear friends from England!
We like to work in the blog. It’s me, your Ted the bear. Last week I visited Maria Habarova’s flat. Masha lives with her parents and her elder sister Kate. We took many pictures, had tea, watched TV, played the computer, and then went to bed. In the picture you can see me and Maria. We are standing at the balcony. You see, it’s real winter here. Next week I’m going to visit other children and their families. Russian students sent their Christmas cards to all of you a couple of weeks ago. Have you got them yet? Now they are looking forward to receiving Christmas cards from England and are very excited with this fact.
Your bear Ted and Masha Habarova.

Some of the cards are very interesting because of their design.

Some have pop ups inside.

Russian friends and their favourite fairy tales

Hi again!

Here are two more pictures of us. But not all the students of our class were at school that day when we took the pictures. So in some days we'll add the pictures of all the rest. You know we all had your Ted at our homes but we didn't guess to take pictures at our homes. Usually Mrs. Chernova does it. So all our pictures are taken in the school.
Here in the place we live in there's a lot of snow already. It's real winter here! And sometimes we take Ted for a walk and he likes to play snowballs with our boys!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Ted and the students.

Hi our dear friends from England!

Here we are, your Teddy Bear and friends from Russia!

In the first half of November we had our autumn holiday so we couldn't add something to the blog. Now we are going to put here some pictures of ourselves. You can see us in the hall of our school. All the walls are painted with the images of children's favourite fairy tales. Can you see the three little pigs? We know that they are from the English fairy tale and all little children in Russia read this tale and like it! On the other wall there're some charactors from the old Russian fairy tale "The Pumpkin". But it's a pity you can't see the full scene from the tale!
How is Ruby! Whom is she visiting now?
We are almost ready to send you our packet of the Christmas cards to all of you. We like this holiday very much!
Love, your friends from Russia.

Ruby`s time with Ieuan Lavender

Friday

On Friday Ruby and I went to Oxtalls Tennis Centre and played tennis. Ieuan had Lasagne and chips for tea. Then we went to Kingsholm rugby ground to watch Gloucester Rugby Football Club take on the Ospreys. Gloucester won 28- 16.

Saturday

On Saturday my relatives called Elizabeth and Roger Meadows came from Dover. My Mum Tina, my Brother Haydn and I went shopping in town and bought an iPod for my brother for christmas. That night we had a few different types of curry with naan breads, bhaji`s, samosas and rice.

Sunday

I went to my cousins christening in Wourcester ( Fladbury ), but unfortunately my cousin wasn`t very well. I read a poem called `In A Christening` while we were around the font. Afterwards we went to Fladbury Village Hall for a savoury and sweet buffet. Then we went to the Teddington Hands pub where we had to sleep on Friday 20th of July 2006 because of the floods. Then we went to Gloucester docks and had a hot dog on the VIP boat.
Monday

On Monday morning before school I played on the Playstation 2 on Fifa 08. After school I went to Abbeydale Community Centre and played darts.

Tuesday

On Tuesday morning I played on the Playstation on cricket 07 and had ready brek for breakfast. In he afternoon I got in the car for a long journey to Bristol Hippedrome to watch Joseph and his technicolour dreamcoat. It was amazing!!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I watched television until I went to school. In the evening I went to `Purpose`, our church childrens band. We had a great time.

Our native town of Moshkovo

Hi, our dear friends from England!

It was so nice to read about your place and watch the pictures of it! Thanks a lot!

Today we are going to tell you some words about our town. It's called Moshkovo. It's not very large only 10 thousand people live here. Moshkovo is near the third largest city of Russia which is called Novosibirsk. It's only 50 kilimetres from our place so we visit it very often.

Today we'd like to send you some pictures of Moshkovo. They are our chuch and our railway station.

We think it's very interesting to watch other places!

We hope to find some pictures and letters from you in the blog!

Best wishes from your Russian friends.

A house in Abbeydale

Heron Primary School is in an area of Gloucester. Gloucester is a city with a beautiful cathedral.
We have a rugby team that many people support.
We also have docks - these are being developed into a place for people to live.

Abbeydale is an area where people live - a suburb of Gloucester. They might go to Gloucester to work. Some people travel into Cheltenham or Bristol from here. In Abbeydale there is only one school - Heron Primary School. There are many other suburbs around us and they too have schools.

This is a photograph of a house in Abbeydale.

Fashion Theatre Show

Hello, our dear friends from England!

Today we are going to tell you some words about our latest activity which takes a lot of our time. Some girls from our class are members not only of the English-Speaking Club but also of the Fashion Theatre of our school. The girls' names are Natalie Belyakova, Victoria Baidachenko and Alexandra Borisenko and you can see them in the picture (from left to right). They design clothes, sew them and demonstrate to the public. Now they are preparing for their next show which will take place on November, 15. As you can see your bear from England is helping the girls!!! W e hope it'll go to the show too!!!

Please, give our best regards to Ruby!

Your friends from Moshkovo, Russia.

Jamie's party

Ruby and I drove to Abbeydale to pick up Ieuan. As we drove, Ieuan gave me a Sonic Screwdriver from Doctor Who. We went to the National bowling Centre in Stroud. Ieuan and I had 2 games of Air Hockey and 1 game of Bowling. My Dad won the game of bowling with 118 pins and Ieuan and I both got 77 pins. Then we went to go bananas, a soft play area.
